I myself have done it many times. I'm not talking about rescuing and releasing here.\r\n\r\nI have grown up with cats my entire life since being 3 years old, until recently when our cat suffered a sudden heart attack unexpectedly. (No he wasn't jabbed, or neutered and he was fed on a raw diet) Unfortunately, it was in his genetics - possible heart defect. Another reason why I'm out of the pet industry. \r\n\r\nMy selfish reasons would quickly see my wanting to adopt another cat. However, cats are wild animals that have been domesticated. What I love about them is how they will quickly return to their natural predatory state in a flash, unlike a dog that has been conditioned and trained. \r\n\r\nThat's for another story... \r\n\r\nWe feed a carnivorous animal other animals and take away it's own ability to hunt for food itself. We raise farmed animals in captivity just to be fed to a cat that we won't let out to find food for itself, It's backwards. Yes cats specifically will kill and torture for fun, but they also do eat what they've killed given a chance at hunger, and not knowing it's got it's kibble waiting at home at 6pm.\r\n\r\nDogs are scavengers by nature, they don't actually need meat to live. A cat on the other hand is a pure carnivore. \r\n\r\nThe truth is, the entire pet industry needs re-evaluating.\r\n\r\nI will not be getting another animal again, as much as I love all creatures, I would much rather see them free and in their natural habitat. When I eventually live on land, if a farm cat happens to cross my path then it may get a stroke here and there, but I would not attempt to domesticate it. \r\n\r\nIn my world\r\n\r\nAll animals are free\r\nThere are no zoos\r\nThere are no seaworlds or marine aquarium zoos.\r\n\r\nThere are no fish tanks\r\nThere are no reptile tanks\r\nNo pet shops\r\n\r\nHumans are the only reason animals need 'rescuing or helping'. They get stuck in our nets, locked in our sheds and garages, chopped with our lawn mowers and strimmers, trapped in plastic packaging, tested on in labs, wrapped up in our fishing nets and discarded rubbish. We have removed so much of their landscape and replaced it with concrete, fake grass, plastic plants and buildings. We've removed trees, ponds, streams and grass lands. \r\n\r\nEveryone has a 6ft fence up, no room for hedgehogs or foxes to enter, swapped real grass for plastic, or concrete and stopped adding plants. \r\n\r\nThere is only over population in certain species because the apex predator has been removed through hunting or habitat loss.\r\n\r\nWe brought the grey squirrels into red squirrel territory - we played with the natural rhythm and yet the only one that suffers are the animals. Mass culling because they're pests. Yet there is 0 accountability for the fact humanity did it in the first place. \r\n\r\nWe trained pigeons during the war, used them, sacrificed them for ourselves, then discarded them like vermin, kicking them in the street. \r\n\r\nWe really are a vile species. It's one of the reasons I am so vocal about animals, because we are truly the beasts of this realm. \r\n\r\nBirds should not be kept in cages, and trained to speak in our living rooms for entertainment, monkeys shouldn't be dressed up and used in the Circus. Horses and dogs shouldn't be raced for sport, or used to aid our bettings. \r\n\r\nThe animal kingdom is not our puppet to puppiter. \r\n\r\nIt has suffered in silence for decades. It has no voice to communicate, it doesn't speak our language. So just like children, we have to be their voice. \r\n\r\nPeople get so annoyed with the word vegan, I don't truly believe any of us can and are vegan. Even driving down the road you'll squash bugs on your windscreen by accident. Most car interiors are leather, and even tissues are tested on animals. It's almost impossible to get away from.\r\n\r\nWhat we can do though is make a more conscious effort to use our hearts and our brains to switch on compassion and empathy, and to also think logically about things we have been conditioned to not need to think about. \r\n\r\nEven if it's reading a label to check if something is 'vegan' or not means it's not been tested on animals. Even if you consume flesh, at least be an advocate against animal testing. It takes seconds to check labels. \r\n\r\nPeople truly believe we are living in a time of advancement. I feel we have descended so far the other way that we can't even tell the difference. Fast food is fast for a reason. Everything we need to use our brains for has been done for us. It's made people complacent, lazy, ignorant and blissfully unbothered.\r\n\r\n... And guess what we are now paying the price for it. Our ignorance has got us deep into this mess, mental and physical health declines, poor living conditions and unregulated nervous systems. Yet we point the finger at everyone but ourselves. \r\n\r\nHow often do you really just take a moment to logically and consciously become aware of what you're doing. \r\n\r\nBuying a lizard from a pet store, that was either raised in captivity, or stolen from it's natural habitat, feeding it another living creature raised again in captivity, sold in a plastic container and then thrown into a tank with 0 escape just to meet it's end for food. Then to watch a 7 minute video on Facebook of a cow being rescued while snacking on a burger king. Claiming how much you love animals, and getting angry at animal abuse, a dog left in a car, yet you're happy to see 1000s of chickens in a metal truck in 35 degrees heat be sent to the slaughter house. \r\n\r\nOr buying some ingredients from the supermarket for your nice meal, eggs, bacon, sausage, milk. Do you ever stop and think about where it actually come from, or the process that it went through to get there, the packaging and renaming makes you purposely disassociate. If you saw a dead pig on the packaging or a video of it being slaughtered I doubt you'd buy it. \r\n\r\nWe'll complain about the cruelty to elephants in Thailand, or donkey rides in Greece, but then visit them at a zoo in an enclosure. But then say it's helping the species... \r\n\r\nThe world is in a state of hypocrisy, and the only way out of it is by acting pausing for a moment before doing an unconscious action, and actually saying to yourself what the actual fuck am I doing? \r\n\r\nIf no one else can see how backwards the world is from what I've seen then there is absolutely no hope. I was one of these people, that did everything I've listed. Zoo's, burgers, animal videos, wanted a lizard the lot...\r\n\r\nBut I just remembered one day thinking hold on a minute... That's the same animal I've just literally seen at a zoo in a cage. Or that cat actually wants to go outside, and what's the difference between a dog and a chicken. \r\n\r\nIf we want to be free, we have to be aware of where we are holding everything else captive. As within, so without. \r\n\r\nMany people aren't ready for that level of accountability and responsibility. It's not an overnight journey, but it's a journey that takes you deeper into yourself, and believe me once you see it all... You can't unsee it. \r\n\r\nWe talk about waking up, but have you truly awoken? \r\n\r\nPeople often use the phrase we are all one, but fail to fully comprehend what that means in its entirety.\r\n\r\nIt's not about judgement either, and I am so bored of that being thrown around about how we shouldn't judge. We all judge. Judgement can actually be a way of helping us navigate through our morals, principles and values. Without anything to judge it against, how would we know what to stand for. What's important, and what's meaningful. \r\n\r\nJudgement is rife in society, and sometimes it really is good to judge. It's our ability to discern what is right from wrong. If there wasn't anything to judge, we'd all be where we are right now... Oh that's right, here we are. \r\n\r\n'We shouldn't be focused on separation' - that's another one... Yet we are separate from compassionate and empathy. \r\n\r\nThe buzz words of 'do what's right for you, and don't judge someone else's choices' are from a place of ego and bipassing. I'm sure if you saw someone raping a child you wouldn't sit and watch, you'd make a judgement in that moment and do something about it... Yet we can sit blissfully ignorant to the mass rape the animal world goes through daily for the milk, cheese and cream you enjoy. \r\n\r\nEveryone and EVERYTHING has a choice. \r\nPeople forget that... And think the human race is the only one deserving of a choice. \r\n\r\nI loved a nice fillet steak, but do I deserve to take a life for a moment of pleasure on my taste buds? \r\n\r\nHow would you view that if it was your child, or your 'pet'? \r\n\r\nThe point of this incredibly long post was to enable empathy and rational thinking. To get your questioning more than chemtrails, 5G and the government, and more about what changes you can personally make to change the world.",
