"map_content": "Title: Overcoming Obesity Begins with Dietary Improvements\r\n-The food environment and obesity have long been pressing social issues. However, even the Edition of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, issued by the nutrition-advanced United States, appears to lack clear dietary recommendations beyond reducing salt intake.\r\nObesity and overeating form a vicious cycle. Generally, individuals with obesity consume large amounts of food while their calorie metabolism is inefficient.\r\nThe body\u2019s physiological metabolism undergoes a two-stage process. In individuals with obesity, the metabolism often fails to progress to the second stage, burning only a small amount of calories during the first stage, known as glycolysis. The remaining energy, with the aid of insulin, is stored as glycogen in muscles, while the excess accumulates as fat, undergoing lactic acid fermentation. In glycolysis, the energy produced is merely 2 ATP (14.6 kcal) per glucose molecule.\r\nIn contrast, a healthy individual typically generates 36 ATP of energy. For those with obesity, expanded cells impair oxygen delivery through respiration, limiting energy production across the body.\r\nConsequently, to compensate for this reduced energy output, individuals with obesity often crave highly stimulating, flavorful foods, perpetuating the aforementioned cycle of obesity.\r\nWhile the primary cause of obesity may be genetic, poor dietary habits significantly exacerbate its progression. First and foremost, individuals with obesity should consistently recognize that a balanced diet is key to addressing the root causes of obesity and put this into practice.\r\nSecond, individuals with obesity tend to consume large amounts of beverages and fruits, which should be reduced. Water and fruits are mostly water, and fruits contain sugars, so dietary habits that increase calorie intake must be moderated.\r\nThird, salt intake is a critical issue. By assessing body fluids, if the sodium concentration is 0.9% or higher, the individual has a positive constitution; if below 0.9%, a negative constitution. Adjusting mineral intake based on health checkups is recommended.",
