  "map_content": "Spent some real time inside Teranode's listener code this week, the library that lets you subscribe to blocks and transactions straight off the miner network. Went in to understand it, came out having contributed to it. Here's the story.\r\nFirst thing I found was funny. The repo I'd put two pull requests into months ago had been archived and folded into a big new monorepo, while my PRs just sat there, never reviewed. The repo migrated out from under them.\r\nFirst instinct was to feel some type of way about that. But I checked instead of assumed. Turns out most of what my old PR added already existed in their code before I ever touched it. So no drama, nobody took anything. I corrected my own story before I told it to anyone. That matters to me more than being right.\r\nWhile I was in there, I found a real gap. Teranode broadcasts everything in a two-layer encoded format, and their listener just hands you raw bytes and makes you decode it yourself. Nobody had built the decoder. So I built it. A clean, typed decoder that turns those raw bytes into proper structured data, blocks, subtrees, node status, all of it, with the types matching their current source field for field. No extra dependencies. Backward compatible. Opt in.\r\nThen I did it the right way. Opened an issue first like their rules ask, wrote the docs, made sure it compiles, and pushed a pull request to Teranode's own listener.\r\nIt's live and up for review right now: https://github.com/bsv-blockchain/ts-stack/pull/251\r\n\r\nThis is what building on Bitcoin correctly looks like to me.
